As Ansu Fati's loan period at AS Monaco approaches its end, should Barcelona bring Ansu Fati back into the team?

Ansu Fati’s recent performance, capped by his stoppage-time winner against Metz, highlights his growing importance at AS Monaco. 

Scoring his 10th Ligue 1 goal and 11th in all competitions certainly showcases his potential, especially considering he was once viewed as a standout talent from Barcelona’s La Masia academy.

With Robert Lewandowski’s contract nearing its end and Fati’s loan set to conclude, Barcelona is faced with several considerations. 

If Fati continues to demonstrate his form, he could provide a dynamic option for the squad, particularly if the team is looking to replace Ferran Torres. 

Bringing Fati back to Barcelona could not only bolster their attacking lineup but also allow them to reintegrate a player with deep connections to the club. 

The option for Monaco to sign him permanently for €11 million adds a layer of urgency for Barcelona to make a decision soon.
