 An extremely commanding exhibition from FC Barcelona resulted in them completely overpowering Athletic Club in the semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup.

 The Catalan powerhouses are now set for the final, and this performance left a lasting impression.

Goals from Raphinha, Fermin Lopez, Ferran Torres, and Roony Bardghji guaranteed a thorough triumph for Hansi Flick’s team. 

Although no league points were on the line, the outcome was crucial: securing a spot in an important final and making a bold statement by Barça.

Joan Garcia: 7.5/10 

Had very little to do, as Athletic Club struggled significantly to generate opportunities. Beyond that, his distribution and situational awareness were praiseworthy. 

Jules Kounde: 8.0/10

 Delivered some remarkable balls over the top and handled defensively well when necessary throughout the match. 

Pau Cubarsi: 8.0/10 

Executed most of his passes effectively and, as usual, was extremely dependable in distribution. Not as dominant in one-on-one situations compared to someone like Eric Garcia, but still provided a solid performance. 

Eric Garcia: 8.5/10

 Made several key interceptions, was robust in his duels, and completed numerous precise and vital passes. 

Alejandro Balde: 7.0/10

 A fair performance from the young left-back from Spain, though it didn’t quite measure up to the excellent display of his teammates. 

Frenkie de Jong: 8.0/10 

The Dutch player mainly functioned as a facilitator for Pedri, requiring little beyond that role. Nonetheless, it was a solid and dependable performance. 

Pedri: 9.0/10

 Dominated the midfield almost without any flaws and consistently made the right choices. An outstanding showing from the Spanish midfielder. 

Fermin Lopez: 9.5/10 

Full of energy and intensity, the young Spaniard was always eager to impact the game. His two assists and well-taken goal made him a significant challenge for Athletic Club. 

Roony Bardghji: 9.0/10 

Skillful with his touches and passes, Roony Bardghji showcased his quality. With a goal and two assists, this young winger made sure that Lamine Yamal’s absence in the starting lineup was not felt. 

Raphinha: 10/10 

LpUtterly uncontainable, Raphinha was involved in every aspect of the game. Besides his exceptional work ethic, the Brazilian ace netted two goals and provided one assist for Barcelona. 

Ferran Torres: 8.0/10 

A smart finish allowed him to score the opener for Barça, and he kept pressing for more throughout the match.

Gerard Martin: 6.0/10 

Delivered a decent performance after being brought on. 

Marc Bernal: 6.5/10 

Made some astute plays here and there. 

Marcus Rashford: 7.0/10 

Appeared sharp and attempted to pose a threat, creating some impressive passes.
