Accordind to All Nigeria Soccer, OGC Nice manager Francesco Farioli has revealed his great shock seeing Tarem Moffi not making the Nigeria final AFCON squad for the 2023 African cup of nation which will take place in Ivory Coast.

The 24 years old was pivotal the the nation success during the qualifying matches where he bagged 2 goals from three matches for the Super Eagles but was not lucky to make the final squad.
Moffi is in an impressive form this season scoring 6 goals in 13 matches which help the French Ligue 1 side stay within champions league qualifying place.
According to what the Coach said Via All Nigeria Soccer, "I have two different feelings (on the absence of Moffi at the Africa Cup of Nations). On the one hand, regret because Terem Moffi cared a lot to represent his country, his family and his friends," Farioli told reporters.
"But on the other hand, he is our best recruit of January and we are happy that he is with us.
"He trained with a very positive mindset with the desire to do well and put himself at the disposal of the team. We see him very focused and very determined.
"The disappointment is gone and he is focused on the next match."

Nigeria will kick off their AFCON campaign when they take on Equatorial Guinea on 14 January 2024.
