Playing Career
Roony Bardghji moved to Sweden at the age of seven in 2012, he joined Kallinge SK youth team followed by a move to Rödeby AIF and Malmö FF where he continued his development within their youth rank.
Roony Bardghji moved from Malmö to Copenhagen in 2020 but had to wait till November 2021 before he made his senior debut for the Danish club against BardGF in a Superliga match becoming the youngest player ever to play for the club at just 16 years and 6 days, a record which was previously held by Kenneth Zohore.
The Sweden international did not wait long for his first goal, his first senior goal for FC Copenhagen came seven days after his debut as he scored in the club 3-1 win against AaB.
Roony Bardghji made his UEFA Champions league debut for the Danish Superliga heavyweight against Sevilla in November 2022 but had to wait till the following season for his first goal to come.
He scored his first Champions League goal Copenhagen in a 4:3 home win against Manchester United and was also a starter for the Danish side in an historical draw against Bayern Munich on November 29, 2023.
International Career
Roony Bardghji moved to Sweden from Kuwait at the age of seven, being born to a Syrian, he has represented Sweden at youth level, currently he is playing for Sweden under-21 team but he is still eligible to represent Kuwait which is the country of his birth or Syria where is family are from as he not yet a full international with Sweden.
