Spanish La Liga Salary Cap 2023/2024

Spanish La Liga is one of the best football league in the world but there are restrictions when it comes to how much a La Liga club can spend on transfers and salaries which helps each club not to go bankrupt though there are also some negative impact.

The La Liga salary cap  helps  clubs stay in business, the salary limit is the total amount a La Liga team can spend in a season which varies from how much revenue a club generate and their incomes.

How salary cap is calculated can be a little confusing but team such as Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Valencia have seen their salary cap be decreased.

Barcelona is the biggest victim of the La Liga salary cap as the club face a big reduction of their salary cap which was €633m last season, but Barcelona salary cap this season is €270m.

Real Madrid salary cap is the highest of all clubs in the division as the Los Blancos salary cap is set at €727m this season.

Deportivo Alaves salary cap is the lowest salary cap in La Liga with €31m this season, the Basque outfit are just back in La Liga after two seasons in the Segunda Division.

Real Madrid salary cap remain the highest in La Liga this season, the club is one of the best in the world that attract top football players with high and accommodate players with high wages.

The club have been able to sign expensive players with the likes of Jude Bellingham joining the club in a record fee.

with the clubs now recruiting new players who are free or on loan.

Europa league champions Sevilla have seen a little increase in their salary cap this season compare to last season.

The Andalusian side won the Europa league last season after what was a bad season which saw some managerial changes.

With the Yellow Submarine qualifying for a place in Europe this season after such a tough season which saw them advanced to the Champions League quarter final.

6. Real Sociedad - €125m

Real Sociedad have been in a better condition this season compare to last season which their salary cap was set at €81m.

The Basque country giant are into the Champions League round of 16 this season and are fighting for European place in the league this season.

7. Athletic Bilbao - €101m

Athletic Bilbao is one of the top club in La Liga which fight for domestic titles and European place.

Real Betis play an attractive football under Manuel Pellegrini  which attract top players, the Verdiblancos are in contention for an European qualifying place  and are also  fighting for a play in Europa League second round.

The club salary limit doesn't allow the club to pay high wage but the club recruitment staff have to be credited for their part in ensuring the club sign quality and young players who are ready to up their game despite earning a little.

9. Valencia - €86m

Los Che have seen a change in their salary cap this season with the club salary limit being reduced from what it was last season.

The club is in a very difficult situation financially and have seen their salary limit set at €86m this season.

10. Celta Vigo - €80m

One of the league mainstay since their promotion back to the top flight some seasons ago, the club salary cap have increased to €80m this season.

11. Almeria - €62m

Almeria returned to La Liga last season after some years back in the Segunda division and went on to retain their status in the top flight.

Real Mallorca have seen an increase on their salary cap this season compare to what they had last season.

Rayo Vallecano have seen an increase in their salary limit this season with the club cap set at €52m.

The club missed out for a place in Europe last season but will be happy to finish better this time.

14. Girona - €52m

Catalan outfit Girona are in their second season back in La Liga  and are in an impressive form this season being one of the team fighting for the La Liga title.

Girona salary limit is set on €52m this season, the club have to assemble a formidable team that can achieve a great feet this season.

15. Cadiz  - €49m

One of the league mainstay, Cadiz have been one of the team that keep on fighting for the drop and will hope to survive this season.

16. Granada - €48m

Though promoted teams can not compare their financial strength with teams that have been in the league before, but Granada have been able to stand ahead Osasuna and Getafe who played in the top flight last season.

17. Osasuna - €47m

Osasuna was one of the most surprise team last season, missing out for a place in Europe by just some point margin.

18. Getafe - €40m

Getafe salary limit is the lowest of all teams that played in La Liga last season.

19. Las Palmas - €35m

Las Palmas are back in La Liga after few seasons away and are having one of the lowest salary cap in the league this season.

The Canary Islands club will be happy to retain their top flight status come the end of the season and have been able to get experience players on free transfer and loan deals.

20. Deportivo Alaves - €31m

Newly promoted Deportivo Alaves has the lowest salary cap in La Liga this season.

The Basque country outfit are back in the top flight after two seasons in the second division and are having a salary cap in the region of €31m this season.
